REGIONAL touch players have more time to prepare for the new Ipswich competition season.

The Ipswich Touch Football Association has been forced to postpone the start of the upcoming competition.

The opening rounds, which were meant to commence this month, have been delayed due to the Australia Day Floods.

THE Ipswich Touch Association has recognised some of its most dedicated people by inducting four new life members.

Donna Leisemann, Sharon Smolenski, Ian Rodgers and Rick Borg became the first inductees since 1995 when Sue Hart (nee Langlands) was awarded her life membership.

A STALWART retired from A-grade football after the recent Ipswich Touch Association grand finals at One Mile.

The more experienced Koalas outfit overcame a gallant and much younger United Cyclones unit 8-6 in the men's final.
